Privacy Policy

Livesmart Limited ("Livesmart") is committed to preserving the privacy of all data relating to its Customers. Please read the following Privacy Policy to understand how Livesmart uses and protects the information provided by its Customers.

By registering for membership within the 08 Card Scheme with Livesmart, the Customer consents to the collection, use and transfer of his/her information under the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information that Livesmart collects from the Customer

When the Customer visits this website, registers for the 08 card ("the
Card") or visits or orders products or services from participating venues or retailers, he/she may be required to provide certain personal information including name, contact details and credit or debit card information. Livesmart will also collect information about the Customer's participation in the 08 card scheme ("the Card Scheme") through the Customer's usage of the Card as well as from the participating venues and retailers themselves.

Use of Customer information

This section explains the uses to which personal data may be used in accordance with the Card Scheme. Customer information will enable Livesmart to supply the Card and or goods or services that the Customer has requested. It will also enable Livesmart to contact
the Customer where necessary concerning the Card Scheme and use of the Card. The information collected will also be used and analysed to administer, support, improve and develop the Livesmart business.
In particular, participating Venues and Retailers may be supplied with certain aggregate and statistical information obtained through the Customer's use of the Card that will allow such Venues and Retailers to analyse and improve their services, for instance, by the monitoring of general customer trends. Please note that such aggregate and statistical information will not include information that can be used to identify Customers. The Customer may also be contacted for his/her views on Livesmart services as well as occasionally notified of important changes or developments to the Card Scheme.

One of the further benefits of a Customer providing his/her information is to enable Livesmart to let Customers know about other products and services on offer which may be of interest, including details of new attractions or discount offers. Livesmart may contact Customers by post, telephone or fax, as well as by e-mail or SMS. Customers who change their mind about being contacted in the future must contact Livesmart as set out below.

Disclosure of Customer Information

The information provided by Customers will be held on computers in the UK and may be accessed by or given to Livesmart staff and third parties including participating Venues and Retailers for the purposes set out in this policy or for other purposes approved by the Customers. Those parties process information as well as allow access to Venues and discount offers available through the Card.

Where Customers have consented when providing their details, Livesmart may also allow participating Venues and Retailers to contact Customers occasionally about their products and services which may be of interest, including offers and promotions other than those available through the Card. Such Venues and Retailers may contact Customers by post, telephone or fax, as well as by e-mail or SMS. Customers who change their mind about being contacted by Venues and Retailers in the future must contact Livesmart as set out below.

Please note that participating Venues or Retailers with whom the Card is used may use information obtained by them to market or to update their own databases and may continue to do so even following expiry of the Card. Finally, if Livesmart enters into a joint venture with or is sold to or merged with another business entity, Customer information may be disclosed to such new business partners or owners. Unless required to do so by law, Livesmart will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any Customer's information without such Customers consent.

Security and data retention

Livesmart employs security measures to protect Customer information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. Customer credit or debit card details will not be retained beyond the point of requiring them for the purposes of making the relevant payment for which such details were submitted. All other information will be retained for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.

Accessing and Updating

Customers are entitled to see the information held about them and may request Livesmart to make any necessary changes to ensure that such information is accurate and kept up to date, including details of what types of marketing such Customers would like to receive or not receive. Customers wishing to do this should contact Livesmart either by e-mail or by post to the addresses set out below. A charge may be made for supplying a customer's records.

Any changes to this privacy policy in the future will be posted to the site and, where appropriate, through e-mail notification.
