It is a simple credit card-sized plastic card that gives you access to a range of exclusive benefits, cardholders will be updated on the best deals and offers through e - news updates and through the local press. Cardholders should present their card wherever they see the "08 Card" sign at over 50 paticipating venues across the City.

Everyone on greater Merseyside is entitled to a card so everyone can benefit from the scheme.

The card  was originally launched and created in 2007 by Liverpool company Livesmart in partnership with the Liverpool Culture Company and Merseytravel. Over 100,000 cardholders now access money saving deals through the Free 08 Card.
