08 Card Expiry Date

1. My 08 Card has an expiry date of 06/07, is it out of date?

Due to unforeseen circumstances, some 08 cards have been printed with an expiration date of 06/07 and some with 07/07. This is a small number of the overall cards currently produced and this issue has now been addressed.

Please be assured that your card is valid until the end of 2009. This error will not stop you using your card. You do not need to do anything else.

1. What are the benefits of your 08 Card

The Livesmart 08 card is available to all Liverpool Residents and those residing in the wider Merseyside region.
The Livesmart 08 card give you access to a huge number of benefits and events celebrating the Liverpool City of Culture during the run up to 08 and beyond.
The 08 Card will also unlock various events which are exclusive to the 08 Card, allow you entry into competitions offering great prizes and allow us to tell you in advance of all the activities planned around 2008 and Liverpool.
From the moment your card is activated offers and benefits can be accessed with additional great offers and prizes available exclusively to card holders every month
Current offers include (this is an area which could be updated:
- Free travel on the S2 and S3 city centre bus routes
- Advance ticket notification and special offers on 08 events and shows
- Two for one travel on the Mersey rail network after 6pm on Thursdays
- Free child admission to Spaceport, Seacombe Aquarium and the Mersey Ferry before noon
- Special ticket offers and competitions for five of Liverpool's best loved show venues, the Empire Theatre, Philharmonic Hall, Royal Court Theatre, Playhouse and Everyman.
- And, as it moves closer to opening the new Arena, ACC Liverpool, will offer 08 card holders access to information on concerts and events as well as ticket deals and discounts.

2. Is there any benefit in getting my 08 Card now?

Yes, by getting your card and registering your details, you will receive regular updates via email, and if you choose text message on all the events that are happening, and the entire exclusive offers available to you so the sooner you get your card, the sooner you enjoy the benefits.

Cards are available from the 08 Place on Whitechapel and via the Merseytravel Centre in Queen Square. You can also apply for your 08 Card via this website.

3. What other benefits will there be in the future?
News, updates and offers will be developed on an ongoing basis. These will range from transport to leisure and entertainment.
In addition a range of exclusive monthly prize draw offers will be communicated regularly to card holders.

4. Can the card only be used in 2008?

No the card is valid as son as it is activated, and a wide range of information, offers and exclusive updates will be made available to card holders from June 2007 until 2009

Your 08 Card is FREE. Simply apply for 08 Card and you get access to great offers now.

2. When I order online how do I receive my card?

You can receive your FREE Liverpool 08 Card by applying on the website. The card will then be posted to your home address.

3. Can I pick up a 08 Card when I am in Liverpool?

Yes, the 08 Card will be available at certain locations such as the 08 Place, Tourist Information Centres and Merseytravel Travel Centres across Merseyside. You can then activate your 08 Card on this website.

4. Who can qualify to for an 08 Card?

The card is designed for residents and commuters within Liverpool and within the wider Merseyside region, although anyone can apply for the 08 Card.

Transport

1. How does the travel work?

Your Livesmart 08 Card offers you free city centre bus travel on the S2 and S3 Bus services which operates a 'loop' service around the city centre every fifteen minutes.
Additionally, by holding the 08 Card, you will be entitled to 2 for 1 on Mersey rail trains every Thursday from 6:30 pm onwards enabling you to take advantage of the vibrant city late night shopping experience.
You will also be notified of great travel offers in conjunction with any major events

2. How far does the travel take me?

The S2 and S3 bus service operates a loop around the city centre, click here for full details of the route.
Merseyrail operates throughout Merseyside and timetables can be found on www.merseyrail.org.

Validity

1. How does my 08 Card become valid?

By simply activating your 08 Card on this website, your card is active and ready for use. Or if you cannot access the website call 0845 271 08 08.
We will then update you of the new attractions and events and exclusive offers relating to Liverpool European Capital of Culture either by email or text

2. When is my 08 Card valid from?

Once registered your card is valid from that day until the 31st December 2009

It's ideal for those who want news and offers on events and activities in and around the city first and anyone who appreciates great value and exclusive offers!

2. Who supplies the card?

The 08 Card is a joint initiative between the City of Liverpool, Liverpool Culture Company, Merseytravel and Livesmart.

3. Does the 08 Card include any food & drink or retail offers?

Not currently, but it may well provide both food & drink and retail offers in the future so keep visiting the website.

4. How can I find out more about what to do and where to go in Liverpool?

5. What do I do if I lose my 08 Card?
